to sedona and back

We just got back from sedona yesterday afternoon and we are happy to be back home with our babies :) We had a great time...hiking, riding the pink jeep tours and relaxing. I am not sure we will be going back anytime soon...since we didn't really fit in well with the retired hippies, but i would LOVE to go hiking out there again! I told robby, if we had hiking out here as good as it was out there, i'd be so fit hahahahaha!!

and guess who is turning one on friday? This girl!! I will post some pictures after her birthday...if i can get a break from sobbing haha!

someones on the move and she's not looking back...

miss ava is offically army crawling..almost 1 and we are on the move finally. Although, i'm very thankful for her taking her time ;). Just like I feared I'm picking all the tiny pieces of maddies toys off the floor so ava won't get into them. But thats ok :)...maddie loves tempting her to crawl towards something.

ps. tried to get some pictures of her crawling today but she was more interested in what i was doing than trying to crawl away from me ;) So this picture of her on the bed will have to do!

Easter was good! We went to church (im sad to say we don't go more than we do) with maddie and ava in our laps. Ava ended up outside of the sanctuary with me crawling on the floor while maddie stared at us through the window telling robby she wanted to join us during service. HA! Maybe it will get better one day. But makes for a good memory :)

Maddie was VERY excited to get her easter basket and hunt for eggs at pawpaws house. She loves anything that involves stories and her getting a TOY! Ava seemed pretty thrilled about her toys as well.

We had lunch at dad and debbies house, which was AMAZING (as usual). Chris got to join us too...we were glad she came! One big happy family! Maddie truley does like having most of the grandparents around in one place.







recently, i took ava's 1 year pictures (early b/c i like to have them printed for her bday party). I tried everything to get her to smile (bc mommy isn't funny anymore) but one look or giggle from maddie and she is all smiles. So i have to give these smile credits to maddie!




Lately, i've been trying to spend more time with maddie in the evenings when ava goes to bed b/c i feel like she may feel like she doesn't have my attention anymore during the day time (which is partially true). We sit outside and eat popsicles, read books, play games on the computer. She seems to love it and i LOVE hearing her little voice tell me about her thoughts. She is such a tender hearted child and i love that about her. She's so funny too! Today we were eating at a kids restaraunt with a friend and she spilled choc. milk on her dress...she came up to me and said "mommy look! WAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAH"....if anyone doesn't know what that noise is..ask me to repeat it for you. We just DIED laughing!!

Doesn't she look like a big girl? We are anxious for her party but sad she is turning 1 already!
